Zagreb

The capital city of Croatia, a home to nearly one million people. It is a charming city with beautiful parks, rich history and culture, clean and safe streets, protected by Medvednica (meaning: bear, female) mountain in the back.

The busy urban life style is increasingly present, and it is slowly but surely changing the city and its streets. Now it is a fine mixture of a preserved past, which can mostly be noticed by the architecture of the buildings, and the modern needs of its habitants. You can enjoy Zagreb’s great atmosphere in any period of the year. Zagreb has won the award for being the top European Christmas destination for 3 years in a row (2015-2016-2017), so if you like winter, you will undoubtedly have a great experience.

ZAGREB – NATIONAL PARK PLITVICE LAKES - VODICE

The Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of the “must see” places in Croatia and it is on your list, as well as Dubrovnik and Split. Plitvice are one of nature’s finest jewels. The 16 lakes are linked to waterfalls, where the water is so clean that you can see all the colors of the fish and other underwater life in full detail. Plitvice Lakes have been a part of the UNESCO heritage since 1979.

Must see and experience while at Plitvice Lake National Park: Veliki slap and The Lower Lakes, 16 cascading lakes and more than 90 waterfalls, hike to Kozjaka Bridge where you take a boat across the Kozjak Lake

The city of Šibenik is a city that has remained unharmed from the strong influences of the consumerism mentality brought by modern society. Maybe the reason is the spirit of St. Michael who has been protecting it with the city fortress since the 11th century. There are 3 more fortress’s in and around the city, which helped throughout the centuries. One of them is the St. Nicholas fortress which is on the UNESCO heritage list. As well as the Cathedral of St. James, which is the most important architectural monument of the Renaissance in Croatia.
Many natural treasures can be found here. Two national parks, Krka and Kornati and 249 islands, and only six of those are inhabited, yet provide plenty to discover. The locals are welcoming and friendly. You can still see neighbors talking to each other and with tourists just because they want to.

You will leave Zagreb after having a breakfast. You’ll proceed to the National Park Plitvice Lakes and participate in a tour of the upper lakes (it will last approximately up to 3 hours). Later on you’ll continue on to Šibenik where you will have a guided sightseeing tour. Free time. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

VODICE – OMIŠ- SPLIT

Omiš the landscapes surrounding the city of Omiš are marvelous. It is placed along the coast and protected by high cliffs in the back, behind which the crystal-clear river Cetina flows. The river Cetina canyon is shaped like a serpent’s mouth that raises the river whilst passing through the city and entering the sea. This city’s pirates were ruling the sea for over two centuries (the 12th and 13th). They were a threat to trading ships of rich cities, such as Split, Dubrovnik and Venice and even to the papal galleons that were sailing across the Adriatic Sea on their way to the Palestine.

Split
… the story of Split is already 17 centuries old, dating to the time the Roman Emperor Diocletian decided to build his Palace right on the peninsula near the great Roman city Salona, where he wanted to spend the last years of his life. During these 1700 years the Palace slowly turned into a city, which to this day lures with its rich tradition, glorious history and beauty of its natural and cultural heritage. Diocletian Palace and the entire historical core of Split have been on the World Heritage UNESCO list ever since 1979, and not only because of the extraordinary preservation of the Palace, but also due to the Palace and its city continues to live a full life. All historical layers from the ancient Rome, middle ages and up to today are still visible and alive in the structure.

After breakfast, you’ll journey towards Omiš begins. Only few km from the sea into the mainland and in vicinity of the medieval pirates’ nest – Omiš, you will have an opportunity for a spectacular rafting and canyoning experience. The trip will take you down 12 km long part of the Cetina course that passes through unforgettable scenery of impressive cliffs, playful waterfalls and numerous rapids and ends at the excursion site of Radmanove Mlinice (the family Radman Mills).

Alternative to rafting would be unforgettable boat ride through the canyon of the river Cetina from the mouth of the river to the site of Radmanove Mlinice (the family Radman Mills). This is an extraordinary experience and enjoyment in amazing scenery, passing through fields of chervil under various tree tops at the foot of the mountains, watching ducks, fish and water hens in crystal clear water.

Lunch will be server at the Radmanove Mlinice.

After the lunch server at the traditional restaurant near the river you will proceed towards the Split. Before having a dinner, guided sightseeing tour of Split.
